Mundelein Light House

Project Description

Countyside Lake is a man-made lake in Mundelein, IL created in 1926. The lighthouse pictured in this project is a local land mark, and was built shortly after the recreational lake was established. Over time, its foundation settled and destabilized the structure. Foundation Mechanics was contracted to build a causeway, demo the existing light house, design and construct a new reinforced concrete foundation that sits on helical piles, and provide armor protection on the property shore.
